About our workshops

Where

Whimsical Creations Workshops are a moveable feast of craft. We don't have one location, instead we run sessions in lovely locations in the South West and sometimes Surrey. Our courses are currently fibre and textile focused.

Two of our current venues are beautiful Ford House in Ford near Wiveliscombe, Somerset. And the Oaks Sports Centre, a golf club in Carshalton Surrey – a very relaxing setting for a crafty break. Sessions at My Crafty Soul in Cobham, Surrey are now also being added.

We deliver!
In addition to organised sessions at set venues, we can bring a workshop to you. We've taught in schools, at fairs and been invited to teach WI groups too. Fees vary depending on the number in your party and materials needed, just email us for a quote.

Skill Levels

Unless otherwise stated all our workshops are appropriate for beginners and advanced makers alike. Sometimes more advanced crafters take less time to complete a piece.

Materials

As often as possible we use materials that are locally sourced or recycled. The wool and fleece for needle felting is mostly from Spring Grove Alpacas and Rare Breeds in Milverton and much of the felt fabrics we use are repurposed jumpers, washed and ready for reinvention.

When we met it was craft at first site and we knew we'd be fast friends. It wasn't long before our enthusiasm grew into the workshops we teach today.
